You can configure opt-in, general and integration configurations with Web Push settings. To navigate, click Settings on the top right corner of the screen.
Opt-in Settings
Opt-in is a term used when users are giving permission to receive push notifications. If you do not get their permission, you cannot send them notifications.
Under Opt-in Settings tab, you can enable the opt-in and choose its type:
- If you choose Native (HTTPS) Opt-in, refer here to read more about its customization. Your title goes hereIf your website supports HTTPS, we highly suggest you to use Native (HTTPS) Opt-in option.
- If you choose HTTP Opt-in, refer here to read more about its customization.
Under Opt-in Trigger Settings, you can decide when to trigger the web push notification to your users.
General Settings
Under General Settings tab, you can set default Time to Live duration, and enable Single Push Throttling.
- Time to Live refers to the expiry time of the web push. All web pushes will be sent out at the specified time. However, for users who do not have their browsers open at the point when the web push is sent, they will receive it the next time they open their browser, unless time to live passed.
- You can enable Single Push Throttling to let your recipients get the Single Web Push messages gradually if your website often experiences instantaneously high user traffic issues.
Integration Settings
Under Integration Settings tab, you can define a custom path for insider-sw-sdk.js other than the root domain. To read more about Service Worker, refer here.
If you want to send push notifications through your website not from the InOne panel, Insider provides an environment to send push to segmented users and get analytics with Web Push API. The authorization transaction is done with Web Push API Key which you can see under API Key.
