    Use Cases for Web Push

      Article Summary

      Single Push

Single Push allows you to send push notifications to multiple users at once. Since its notifications can have a broader reach, you can send them to a larger user base.

With a Single Push you send your users, you can target your entire user base and transmit your messages quickly. For example, if you are a publisher, you can send a single push to inform your users immediately about important news. If you are a retailer, you can send a single push to notify your users about a limited-time discount so that you can drive more conversion.

Thanks to the single push, you can also send web push notifications to a segmented set of users that you defined. It allows you to offer your customers a more personalized experience. By tailoring your messages in line with the segment you target, you can prevent your users to receive messages which do not address their interests. As a consequence, you can expect a higher CTR and fewer unsubscribers. Furthermore, you can create fitting use cases for the audience your target.

For example, you can send a single push with a discount coupon only to the users who did not visit your website in the last 3 months, so you can try to regain your potential to-be-churns. You can also retarget the users, who have not engaged (viewed or clicked) with a push notification you sent before. In addition, by using predictive segmentation options, you can target various audiences with respect to their interest in a category, product, or custom-created attribute.

      Trigger Push

Trigger Push is an onsite push notification based on the rules you have created. It is triggered based on the instant behavior of the users on your website. Therefore, you can engage with your customers and raise your ROI in return.

For example, you can send a thank you message to users who just completed a purchase with a rule based on the page URL. You can create exit-intent campaigns to redraw customers who recently stopped browsing your product pages. You can send pushes based on the weather in your customers’ location. Or you can target customers who just opted in for web push notifications to inform them about the benefits of staying opted-in.

      Cart Reminder Push

Cart Reminder Push is also an onsite push like the trigger push that sends a notification to the users who added a product to their cart but didn't buy it.

With just a few clicks, you can set the duration between the add-to-cart action and the trigger time of the reminder message, and draw cart abandoners' attention to finish what they started. It’s a simple and effective way to recover carts and increase your revenue accordingly.

      In Stock Alert Push

You can use In Stock Push to notify users that the products are back in stock. You set the rule for the campaign based on the user's visiting information (visiting time and day) in the Rules step.

Imagine a customer visiting your website to find a product that they want to buy, but they are frustrated since you do not have it in your stocks. This scenario is likely to happen especially in the case of a discount or on important days with commercial value like Black Friday or Singles’ Day. With In Stock Alert Push, you can automatically contact users once the product they visited is back in stock. This way, you can remove the frustration created due to the products being out-of-stock and retarget customers who were already in your conversion funnel.

      Price Alert Push

You can use Price Alert Push to notify users about the prices of products that are decreasing or increasing. You choose the type of price alert push (increased or decreased), the percentage, and visiting information of the user in the Rules step.

This is a great push type to target the users who are interested in buying your products but have a limited budget (or cannot afford the current price of the product). You can automatically target the users who have previously visited a specific product, once its price is decreased/increased with respect to the conditions you preset. For example, you have new arrival jeans and sent your users a push message so that they can browse these new products. There might be users who liked the products but want to wait for a discount. To the season's end, you might want to offer a discount for jeans to clear your stocks for the new season. With the discount, users who previously browsed your jeans will receive a push message automatically and rejoin your conversion funnel.

      Web Push API

Insider's Web Push API allows you to send Web Push notifications from your own systems using Insider technology by writing some code or depending on a tool. With Web Push API, you can send a push notification with custom user attributes based on your needs.
