A suppression list is a list of suppressed email addresses used by email senders to comply with the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003 (United States of America). All the unsubscribed, bounced, blocked and invalid email addresses are placed into a suppression list which is used to suppress future email messages to these email addresses.
Managing suppressions is the key to get maximum email delivery. If recipients have an easy way to tell that they’d like to stop receiving emails, instead of using the spam button, it will give more valuable insights without affecting the IP reputation.
