What is Purchase Synchronization?
Purchase Synchronization enables you to view each user's purchase data on Insider's platform, and segment them with the Purchase event on the messaging channels and Architect. This feature allows you to collect historical purchase data and purchases that occur in real-time.
How does it work?
With the Purchase Synchronization feature, you can send the purchase data of your existing users to Insider with detailed parameters of the purchase events along with the user information. You can sync your existing purchase data to Insider and continuously collect purchase data from Insider Object to leverage the purchase event in your segmentations and personalizations.
How can you configure Purchase Synchronization?
You can toggle on the Existing Purchase Events to start passing all your existing purchase events from Shopify to Insider.
How can you test and confirm the Purchase Data Synchronization?
Once you enable existing and new purchase data synchronization, you can easily test each data synchronization from the User Profiles on Insider's InOne panel.
How to test existing Purchase Events Synchronization?
Once you enable the Existing Purchase Events toggle, it might take some time to migrate all purchase data to Insider. Testing it after 24 hours would be sufficient in order to see all purchase details on Insider's InOne panel.
How to see the number of unique users who made purchases on Shopify?
Insider segmentation showcases the number of users who have Purchase information whereas Shopify shows the number of purchases has been made. So, when comparing purchase data on 2 different platforms, you would need to compare the number of unique users who have made purchases on each platform.
You can create a segment of customers who have made purchases on Shopify platform as follows:
