For Smart Recommender to operate its recommendation engine and offer suggested products to your users, it requires the integration of your product catalog. Insider stores your product catalog details in its Product Catalog Database, regularly processing any updates to ensure that the recommendations provided are always current.
The product catalog database integration is realized via three different methods:
- Crowd-based Product Feed Collection (Clickstream)
- XML Based Product Catalog Integration
- Product Catalog API Integration
Crowd-based Product Feed Collection (Clickstream)
Your product catalog information is being processed whenever any of your customers visit your website and product detail pages. This integration type requires Insider tag functions to be integrated and all the product information then will be collected and processed by Insider.
XML Based Product Catalog Integration
With this integration type, you can provide your own XML product catalog as a source for Insider's product feed. Integration can be made through Insider's panel and all the product attributes that have been provided on the XML file can be matched with Insider Custom Product Attributes through Insider's InOne panel.
Product Catalog API Integration
With this method, you can send your product catalog information through insertions and updates to Insider's data ingestion API.
