SMS unsubscription is the process whereby a user decides to stop receiving SMS messages. According to your needs and country regulations, Insider provides different kinds of unsubscription methods for SMS users. All of those methods are automated methods to collect unsubscribers. You do not need to perform any actions other than setting up the appropriate unsubscription method.
All the unsubscribed phone numbers are placed into a global unsubscribe listwhich disables sending future SMS to these numbers.

You can add global unsubscribes to Global Unsubscribe suppression list; you can add these users to specific unsubscribe groups by using Unsubscribe API.

Only manage users and users who have access to PII data can view personal information on this page. You can provide user access to your members to view the PII, personal data of the customers, or the User Profiles from the Settings tab.
Global unsubscribe allows your recipients to unsubscribe from all of the SMS you send to them. You can reach Global Unsubscribe through Audience > Suppression > Global Unsubscribe.
If your package covers both Email and SMS products, you will see two tabs when you land on Global Unsubscribers page. You can switch between the tabs to manage the recipients who are no longer subscribers in either of the channels.
Importing global unsubscribes
You can import your unsubscribers with two different methods: Manually or uploading a file.
1. Add Manually
- Click Add Contacts and select Add Manually.
- Add your unsubscribers manually one by one.
2. Import
- Click Add Contacts and select Import.
- Upload your CSV file that has only one column of phone numbers without a header.

When your list update is completed, you will receive an email about the result.
Remove from Unsubscribe
This option enables you to delete the user from Global Unsubscribe, both on our database and on the SMS service provider. Click on Remove from Unsubscribe against the contact that you want to delete.
You will receive a confirmation message and it will be removed when you click the Remove button.
Exporting Unsubscribers
If you want to export the data, click the Export button. You will receive an email containing the phone numbers in your inbox in a short time.

The Export button will work only if the user is a “manage users” or the user is allowed to see PII information on the panel.
