      Please note that customers who have joined our platform after February 2024 will not have access to non-responsive Lead Collection Templates except for Web Push Opt-in templates and WhatsApp Sticky Opt-in template.

      You can use Overlay template to collect your users' email and/or phone numbers and offer them discounts in return.

      How to create it

      To create a campaign with the Lead Collection on Overlay template, navigate to Experience > Optimize > Web Templates.

      1. Click the Create button, name your campaign, and click the Next button.

      2. You will land on the Template Library. You can search for the template or find it under Collect Leads.

      3. When you click on the template, you will see its default preview, description, and its elements. Click Use For Desktop to proceed.

      4. It is an on page template. It will appear with text, image, input boxes, and buttons by default in the Preview mode in Action Builder. Switch to Design mode to start designing your template.

      5. You can adjust the settings of your campaign in two pages:

      • Subscriber Page: where you ask for the lead from the user.
      • Thank You Page: where you display your appreciation message and offer coupon codes.

      Subscriber page

      Page 1 is the page where you collect the lead.

      1. You can enable Coupon Code toggle if you want to offer discount when your users opt in. You can also change the Style of your template and Overlay color settings.

      2. For the Image element, you can upload a desired one. The recommended size is 100 x 100 px. You can change the Text elements settings as you wish. We recommend you to use contrast colors with your Overlay color to make them more eye catchy. You can put a link as well to direct your users.

      3. If you want to collect your users both email addresses and phone numbers, you need to have two Input Box elements and configure them accordingly. You can delete any of them with the Delete icon which will appear when you hover on the element. Enable Required toggle if you want to make your users leave the related information.

      Under Action, choose the validation type. It will help you validate the given email or phone number. Emails will require the correct form with “@” and a valid domain type. The phone number will require  6 to 14 digits. You can select none too.

      You can also select the attribute from the type dropdown to send the collected leads to Email product.

      4. To customize the Email Opt-in Policy settings, choose the element. Be sure that you add the GDPR consent checkbox to the lead generation form as an option and your template is compliant with it.

      If your company obtains your users' consent in compliance with the local regulations, make sure to pass the GDPR opt-in field to Insider. If you want to stop collecting and processing the data of an identified user, GDPR opt-in field should have the false value. Insider cannot be held liable if these obligations are not fulfilled and reserves the right to seek compensation from your company.

      5. Customize the Checkbox and the consent sentence. Put the link to direct your user to read the terms and conditions.

      1. Page 2 is the page where you display your appreciation message and offer coupon codes. However, if you do not want to offer any discount, you can disable Show Coupon Code toggle.

      2.  For the Image element, you can upload a desired one. The recommended size is 100 x 100 px. You can change the Text elements settings as you wish. We recommend you to use contrast colors with your Overlay color to make them more eye catchy. You can put a link as well to direct your users.

      3. If you enable Coupon Code, you can customize its settings under Coupon Settings.4. As the final step, adjust Thanks and Close Button elements.

      When you finalize your design, Save it and proceed with the rest of your campaign.
