This integration allows you to integrate Insider Tag on your website with ease via Google Tag Manager (GTM). The integration consists of the following steps:
Insider Tag Configuration
1. Import Insider Tag Template
1. Log into your Google Tag Manager (GTM) account. Go to Templates to click the Search Gallery button.
2. Search for Insider from the side modal.
3. Add Insider to your workspace.
2. Configure your tag
1. Go to Tags and click the New button.
2. Click Tag Configuration to configure your tag. In the Choose tag type window, select Insider.
3. On the Tag Configuration:
- Name your Insider Tag Configuration.
- Select your Event Type as Insider Tag.
- Enter your Account Name (partner name) and Account ID (partner ID) to connect your GTM account to the Insider Growth Management Platform.
- Select Firing Tiggers as All Pages.
4. Submit your changes on the main screen, and publish your changes on your account.
Confirmation Page Integration
After completing a transaction, your customers are directed to a confirmation or success page.
Use the following steps to create a tag for your confirmation page.
1. Go to Tags and click the New button.
2. Click Tag Configuration to configure your tag. In the Choose tag type window, select Insider.
3. Select your Event Type as Page View, and Page Type as Confirmation.
4. Tag Priority
- To enable the Confirmation Page integration to load before the Insider Tag, expand the Advanced Settings.
- The Tag firing priority of the Confirmation Page code should be higher than that of the Insider Tag. If none is specified for any tag, the default priority is 0, so Confirmation Page integration can be set to 1 as in the example.
- After setting the priority, click Tag Sequencing and enable "Fire a tag after Insider Confirmation Page fires". Then select Insider Tag as the Cleanup Tag.
- It loads before the Insider Tag (ins.js),
- The page type is Confirmation for all transactions made with all payment types (payment on delivery, credit card, bank transfer),
- If a transaction fails, the type does not show Confirmation,
- If it is a single page, be sure that the page object includes the correct information. For example, once a user navigates to another page after the Confirmation page, the page object should also state this change and not display the type as Confirmation.
5. Select Firing Tigger as After Payment Page Trigger.
6. Select Triggering on the new tag page. Click the New Trigger button, then Trigger Configuration to begin setup.
In the Choose trigger type window, select Page View.
Configure your trigger for your Success Page. This step may differ depending on how your success page is tracked. Name your trigger and save it. The trigger will be automatically selected for your tag.
7. Submit your changes on the main screen, then publish your changes on your account.
Congratulations, your setup is completed!
