    FAQ about Executive Summary Dashboard

      Article Summary

Would using Insider Object (IO) affect the accuracy of numbers?

Yes, it would. Without IO, system rules can stop functioning with a change on your website. Let’s say you changed your cart page’s design, this can cause us to stop tracking revenue and cart counts if you are not using IO.

Why do we see different number of active Web Push campaigns on the Web Push listing page and Current Active Campaigns?

The single, and targeted web push types are not listed in the Current Active Campaigns.

Why do we see 0 incremental revenue even if we have active campaigns with incremental revenue?

The dashboard has two default filters: Primary goal: Purchases & 200 impressions. You can remove these filters and check your incremental revenue in case your campaigns are filtered out with these default filters.

Where can we check the New Subscribers and Unsubscribes metrics?

You can check the Total Subscribers metric on the Mobile App card on homepage of your Inone panel, the Total Unsubscribes metric on the Segments page.

What is an "engaged user"? How are they identified and tracked?

The engaged users is the number of your current app users who have your app on their devices and accessed it at least once in the last 365 days.

When you say the metrics are calculated as "user-based", does this mean that individual user behavior is tracked and analyzed How is user privacy maintained in this case?

User-based metric means that individual user behavior is tracked and analyzed. Privacy and security of user data will remain the same as other Insider products since the data to be stored will be on Insider's Unified Customer Database, which is used by all other products of Insider. So, there will be no changes in the privacy and security-related policies.

How is "total subscriber count" defined? Does it include only active users, or also the users who have downloaded the app but are not actively using it?

The total subscribers give the total number of your current app push message recipients. This is equal to the number of users who opted in and are active, meaning the users who have the app on their phone and did not uninstall.

If a user opts in and opts-out multiple times within a day, will their multiple actions be reflected in the "total subscriber count" or only their final action for the day?

Users can take multiple actions throughout the day, but what matters to the metric is their final state at the end of the day. Since the data will be captured from Insider's Unified Customer Database at the end of the day, this metric will be calculated based on the final actions taken by users at the end of the day.

How is the "opt-in rate" calculated? Is it based on the number of users who have ever opted in, or the number of users who are currently opted-in?

The opt-in rate is given as a ratio of total subscribers (opt-in) to the number of total engaged users on the last day of the selected date range. The actions of the user during the day are not tracked, only the last action at the end of the day will be captured and logged. For example, if a user opts in in the morning, opts out at noon, and opts in again in the afternoon, the graph will show the most updated state at the end of the day.

In regards to the "net subscriber growth, what happens if a user uninstalls the app during the selected date range? Are they subtracted from the "total subscriber count"?

The net subscriber growth is the net increase in the total subscriber base. The value shows the difference between the total subscriber number on the first and last day of the selected date range. For example, if you select May 14-May 17, the net subscriber growth will be equal to the difference between the total subscriber count on May 17 and the total subscriber count on May 14.

If a user deletes the application within the selected date range, it will decrease the total number of subscribers. This, in turn, will have an impact on the net subscriber growth metric. Considering such factors when analyzing subscriber growth and interpreting the metrics accurately is important.

How are inactive users or users who have uninstalled the app accounted for in these metrics?

The uninstalls are the total number of users who deleted your mobile app from their device. The value takes all uninstalls per user into account, but not just the first uninstall.

Why is my InApp Revenue higher than Total Revenue?

Total revenue is the income generated from the entire app and is independent of Insider campaigns. This revenue is unique.

On the other hand, InApp revenue is not unique. If a user views more than one InApp template and makes a purchase afterward, we attribute the revenue to all templates and sum them up in the key metric, which might create duplications."
