    Create a Feedback Campaign

      Article Summary

Feedback is the voice of your users. You can get to know what your uses think about your brand, website and products by running surveys.

Insider's Feedback is a product that you can use to collect answers for specific questions, users' opinions about you and your products, or personal data by showing simple forms on your website. It is a product that you can use in all business and sites.

      How to create it

To create a campaign with the Feedback template, navigate to Experience > Optimize > Web Templates.

      1. Click the Create button, name your campaign, and click the Next button.

      2. You will land on the Template Library. You can search for the template or find it under Collect Feedback.

      3. When you click on the template, you will see the available platforms, its default preview, description, and its elements. The Feedback template is available for desktop, mobile and tablet platforms while the Feedback Emoji template is available for mobile and tablet templates. Click Use For {The platform} to proceed.

      4. You will land on Preview mode on Action Builder where you can see your template on your website. To configure the settings, you can start with placing it. If it is the inline template, you need to select an element to append it.

      5. In the Design mode, you can start customizing your template with its elements. You can enable close button if the user does not want to answer it and progress bar to show the user how close they are to finish it under Settings. To change its colors, you can configure the style settings. To show your design more beautifully, you can add overlay and animations.

      6. When you click on Survey, you can edit it via Edit Question button under Settings.

On Edit Questions, you can add pages, edit questions and create conditions.

Start by selecting a question type and adding page(s) if needed. The question types are as follows:

      • Single Choice asks users to select only one option while Multiple Choice enables users to select more than one option.
      • Dropdown enables users to select an option from a dropdown menu.
      • Linear Scale asks users to rate a statement from 1 to 5.
      • Email asks users to leave their email address. You can choose to make this a required entry, and display an error message when users submit the survey without providing an email.
      • Date asks users to select a date.
      • Yes/No allows you to get quick answers from users.
      • Short Answer can be used to get comments from users.
      • Thanks lets you add a thank-you page as the last page of the survey.

If you want your users to answer questions in a row, you can enable Send via Answer toggle.

After you type your questions, adjust their text settings separately.7. Once you are ready, Save your design and continue with the rest of your campaign.

      Feedback Campaign Operations

      1. On the listing page, you can also see the statistics and the details of your campaign.

      2. You can export the results of your Feedback campaign. Under the menu against the campaign, click Export variation.

2.1. Choose the date interval, variation and export type and click Export.

You cannot select a date range longer than 31 days. If you select the date range for a wider period, you receive an error.

If the responses exceed 10,000 rows and you select the XLSX format, you may receive an error even if the date range is less than 31 days. In such cases, using the CSV format allows access to large amounts of data.

You might receive an error if you try to export the variation again without waiting for the first request to complete. In such cases, wait for a while and try again.

If you attempt to export data from a panel to which you do not have PII access, you may receive this error message, as the exported data contains personally identifiable information (PII), and only users with PII access can utilize this feature.

      Use Cases

      • Request the e-mail address to reach the user for the products that are out of stock.
      • Score your site to get feedback.
      • Generate user segments according to the answers given.
