    Mobile App: Uploaded Custom Segments


      Article Summary

      Custom segments are based on CSV files that you import to your panel. You can export a list with the exact user count and primary identifiers from your databases (e.g. CRM), and upload it to Insider's panel to use in your campaigns.

      You can upload a CSV file with user IDs that you already segmented on your end to create a custom segment. Once you upload your file, the system matches it with our database to create your own custom audience.

      You always need to operate with a primary identifier. Your primary identifier can be users' information (e.g. email, account ID, UDID, etc.).

      Certain actions require different user roles. For instance, viewing personally identifiable information requires additional permissions. For further details, refer to User Management.

      To reach your custom segments, create your message and navigate to the Choose A Target Segment step.

      You can view your custom segments via Audience > Segments > App Segments > Custom Segments as well.

      • View your previously uploaded custom segments along with their type, date, and status information
